Privacy Notice
In short
Ascent HVAC ("Ascent", "we") uses internal business software for its own personnel. It is not offered to the public, and we do not collect personal information from the public through it. We do not sell information, and we do not share it for advertising.

Information the software handles
- Ascent's business records, from a connected third-party service. Through a connection that an Ascent administrator authorizes, the software reads business records that belong to Ascent's own account with that service, limited to what it needs to do its job. The connection is used to read records, not to change them.
- Information about authorized users. Ascent personnel sign in with their Ascent work accounts. We record who used the software, when, and what they did, for security and accountability.
- The connection credential. The third-party service issues Ascent an authorization credential for the connection. It is stored securely and used only for that connection.
How we use it
Only for Ascent's internal business operations, such as checking that Ascent's own business records are accurate and consistent. We do not use it for advertising or profiling, and we do not sell it.
Who we share it with
We do not disclose information obtained through the connection to anyone outside Ascent, except to the service providers that host and secure the software on Ascent's behalf and under Ascent's direction, or where the law requires.
How long we keep it
- Records obtained through the connection are held only briefly, while needed to show results. They are not kept as a separate long-term copy.
- Records of who used the software are kept for a limited period, normally up to one year.
- The connection credential is kept while the connection is in use, and the stored copy is deleted when the connection is removed.
How we protect it
Access is limited to authorized Ascent personnel with Ascent work accounts. Information is protected in transit and at rest, credentials are kept in a protected store, and use is logged. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information we handle.
Disconnecting
An Ascent administrator can disconnect the connection at any time, from the third-party service or through Ascent's software. Once disconnected, the software can no longer retrieve data through it.
Children
The software is for business use by Ascent personnel and is not directed to children.
