Terms of Use (End User License Agreement)
1. Who these terms are for
Ascent HVAC ("Ascent", "we") operates internal business software for its own personnel. It is not a public service and is not offered to customers or the public. These terms apply only to people whom Ascent has authorized to use it ("authorized users"). If Ascent has not given you access, you are not authorized to use the software and must not try to.
2. License
Ascent grants each authorized user a limited, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the software for Ascent's internal business purposes, for as long as Ascent allows. Ascent keeps all rights in the software. You may not copy, share, sell, sublicense or reverse engineer it, or use it for anyone else's benefit.
3. Acceptable use
- Use only the sign-in credentials Ascent issued to you, and do not share them.
- Do not try to get around access controls, or to see information you are not authorized to see.
- Do not interfere with the software or with the systems it connects to.
- Follow Ascent's policies for handling company information.
4. Connected business services
The software connects to Ascent's own accounts with third-party business services, through connections that an Ascent administrator authorizes. Information obtained through those connections remains Ascent's business information. Use of those services is also subject to the providers' own terms.
5. Confidentiality
What the software shows is confidential business information of Ascent and of the companies it deals with. Do not disclose it outside Ascent except as Ascent authorizes.
6. Monitoring
Use of the software is logged for security and accountability. See the Privacy Notice.
7. No warranty, and limits on liability
The software is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. It is a working aid, not a system of record: check results against the source records before relying on them. To the fullest extent the law allows, Ascent is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the software.
8. Changes, suspension and ending access
Ascent may change the software, suspend it, or end any person's access at any time. An Ascent administrator may disconnect a connection to a third-party service at any time.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The effective date above shows the current version.
